I just shipped the last of 18 items I sold on eBay over the last month. I figured that while I was on "vacation" I should get rid of some of the stuff I had laying around the house. I ended up selling over $400 worth. It was nice to find a home for the items I didn't have any use for: my previous digital camera (a Canon PowerShot S40), old computer memory, a Pentax MX film camera, camera lenses, a motordrive for the MX, a slide projector, some old wireless networking equipment, and a few other items. I wasn't able to sell two items, and I had a few others that I knew had no value on eBay but were perfectly working (like a dual-processor Slot 1 motherboard and 2 Slot 1 Pentium II processors), but I was able to use The Freecycle Network to find local people to give them to. In the end, there was only one item I wasn't able to sell or give away. Glad I could keep all this stuff out of the landfill and recycle stream!
